PASSIVE SHIELDING, CONSTANT PROTECTION
A passive shield of high-permeability material attenuates both AC and DC magnetic fields continuously. With no power, sensors, or response time it provides a stable baseline environment around the microscope.
ACTIVE CANCELLATION SYSTEM
An active system measures the residual field in real time and drives compensation coils to cancel it, targeting the very low-frequency disturbances such as passing lifts, vehicles, and mains harmonics that the passive shielding attenuates least.
COMBINED SYSTEMS, COMPLETE SOLUTION
Together, the two approaches cover each other’s weaknesses. This ensures image quality is maintained even as the building environment changes around the instrument.

Global EMC’s TEM shielded rooms are purpose-built rooms or laboratories designed specifically to shield sensitive TEM microscopes from 50 Hz AC and Quasi-DC interference. Through passive shielding and an active cancellation system, a magnetic field shielded room is created to ensure the microscope can work to its greatest potential.

An RF-tight, sealed door that preserves enclosure integrity while allowing access for the instrument and operators.
